چکیده
Project entitled “Cerebrovascular mediated subclinical brain injury – interaction between cardiovascular function, brain structure and cognitive functionstudy rationale, design and principal methods” is a cross-sectional study in a group of older individuals with no apparent symptoms of stroke, transient ischemic attacks or cognitive impairment. The primary aim of the projects is further our understanding of the patomechanism of cerebrovascular disease associate brain injury as well as vascular cognitive impairment and give a better insight into the interplay between arterial wall, ventriculo-vascular coupling, wave refl ection and pulsatility of the fl ow and how these interplays are mirrored by MRI neuroimaging. With our novel, interdisciplinary approach, we will defi ne the methodology and build tools for those who want to follow in this challenging and non-standard direction.

Introduction: The most common causes of traumatic brain injury are vehicle crashes, including motorcycles, which lead to long-term disabilities. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of mild brain trauma on intelligence and memory function in motorcycle riders suffering from mild tumor injury. Materials & Methods: In this prospective cohort study, intelligence and memory fu...

Background: Cognitive impairment is a common complication of Severe Traumatic Brain Injury (STBI). One of cognitive problems following STBI is impaired executive functions which involve high-level cognitive processes and their dysfunction can lead to reduced quality of life. Objective: This study aims to investigate the cognitive impairment in men with STBI compared to healthy men. Materials...

Because of the importance and direct impact of working memory on the quality of human life, especially in military skills that require active memory and high attentional power; the present study aimed to investigate the cognitive patter...
متن کاملEffect of aminophylline on renal function of brain injury patients with acute renal failure admitted to the intensive care unit
Introdution: Acute renal failure is a common complication in the brain injury patients. Released adenosine in injury can reduce renal glomerular filtration. Aminophylline is an inhibitor of releasing adenosine. So, this study aimed to evaluate the effect of intravenous aminophylline in renal function of brain-injured patients with acute renal failure admitted to the intensive care unit. Method...
متن کاملEvelotion The Cognitive and behavioral inhibition Of Patients With traumatic brain injury
Aim(s): Inhibition, which is defined as one's ability to monitor and control responses, is one of the most important executive actions that occur after a traumatic brain injury. The purpose of this study was to compare the cognitive and behavioral inhibition in MTBI patients one year after their injury with healthy individuals. Participants & Methods: In this causal-comparative study, which wa...
